President Mauricio Macri visited the facilities of Energe in Rodríguez Peña, Maipú, the company from which they had requested a solar water heater installed in the Quinta de Olivos.

As part of his visit to Mendoza to inaugurate a section of Route 40, national President Mauricio Macri and provincial Governor Alfredo Cornejo visited the facilities of Energe, a Maipú-based company that has shown great growth in recent years. The firm gained national prominence when the President purchased a solar water heater to be installed at the Olivos residence.

The company is dedicated to manufacturing residential solar water heaters, developing solar hot air systems, solar pool heaters, and electricity generation for industries and public lighting.

Macri knew them

Alexis Atem, co-founder of Energe, explained that the visit occurred thanks to efforts made by the Province, whom the National government asked to identify innovative companies. "The President and the Governor were surprised by the growth we've had in recent years, driven mainly by the increase in sales to both individuals and businesses," Atem highlighted.

"When he arrived, he commented on what we did a few years ago: we installed one of our solar systems at the Quinta de Olivos. He told us it was working very well and that he was happy," the co-founder added.

The company had previously received visits from various ministries, from which the contact with Macri arose. "We had a talk with the President in 2016; he called us through the National Ministry of Production. At the time, he told us he didn't know these technologies could be produced in the country," Atem recalled.

"The President and the Governor were surprised by the growth we've had in recent years. He urged us to keep betting and to continue with the company," concluded the businessman from Maipú.
